Slaughter Towen was a one-man necro black metal band from Leiden, for which Danny played the guitar at their live gigs.
Slaughter Towen had existed as a one-man band since 2003 releasing five albums, when on July 6, 2010, Danny was asked to become the live guitarist to do a gig on October 9, at venue Sub071 in Leiden that Slaughter Towen founder and multi-instrumentalist Sergej was offered. The first rehearsal took place on July 20, 2010, with Sergej (drums, vocals), Cynthia (bass) and Danny (guitar). Because Cynthia was not too experienced with playing the bass, late August bassist Misja took over. At the first gig six Slaughter Towen songs were done, as well as a Darkthrone cover (Under A Funeral Moon, with vocals by Necrofeast and Gestalte singer Dagon).
After having done a three song gig for local radio station Broedplaats on November 15, 2010, (broadcasted on November 17) the band released its sixth and final studio album, again with all instruments played by Sergej. Despite this new release for about a year no gigs were done. The next one was at Scum in Katwijk on October 8, 2011. Throughout 2012 and 2013 six local shows were played, with amongst others Brotherhood Of Sleep (Greece), Hats Barn (France), Heersch, Fece Vomitatie, Arminius and Black Command. The final Slaughter Towen gig took place on December 28, 2013, at Cab03 in Leiden.
